Xerez CD to host Marbella on Sunday 25 October at 19:00

The eighth-matchday fixture will be played on Sunday rather than Saturday, as supporters had hoped given the demanding week ahead for the team, with the Copa del Rey derby against Cádiz CF on Wednesday 28th and a trip immediately afterwards.

Xerez CD now know the kick-off time of their next league match at Chapín. The blue-and-whites will host Marbella FC on Sunday 25 October at 19:00, on the eighth matchday of Group IV of the Segunda RFEF.

A week without rest

Xerez supporters had expected the match to be played on Saturday, because of the schedule the team faces in the following days. Just three days later, on Wednesday 28 October at 21:00, Xerez CD will host Cádiz CF at Chapín in the first round of the Copa del Rey. After that, they will have to travel to Gran Canaria to face UD Tamaraceite on Sunday 1 November, on the ninth matchday of the league.

Xerez Deportivo FC also at home

That same weekend Xerez Deportivo FC play at home, and that could be the reason why the match against Marbella has not been scheduled for Saturday.

A direct rival in the table

Before that, the blue-and-whites will host Ciudad de Lucena on Sunday 18 October on the seventh matchday. After six matchdays, Xerez CD are 13th with 6 points, one more than Marbella, who are 15th with 5.
