Xerez CD now know their opponent in the first round of the Copa del Rey: it will be Cádiz CF. That was the outcome of the draw held this Monday in Las Rozas from 13:00, in which the azulinos were paired with the yellow side, just as this website anticipated in previous days. The match will be played at Chapín.

A provincial derby in the knockout tournament

The tie pits two of the most representative clubs in the province of Cádiz against each other in a clash with a clear element of rivalry. Xerez, who compete in Segunda RFEF, will have the chance to face a Segunda División side at home, as the criterion of geographical proximity that governs these pairings had already suggested.
